We Are Grateful To Gov Wike For Upgrading Rukpokwu Chieftaincy Stool – Rumuojie Community

Rumuojie Community in Rukpokwu Clan has expressed deep appreciations to the Governor of Rivers State, His Excellency, Chief Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike for upgrading of the Traditional Chieftaincy Stool of Rukpokwu Clan to Second Class.

The Stool, which is currently occupied by His Royal Highness, Eze Amb. Dr. Collins Chukwuma Ogwu was among those the Governor elevated to Second Class recently.

Speaking to Journalists on behalf of Rumuwojie community in Port Harcourt, Eze Bishop T.O. Wokpo JP, Eze Ogbuiji Ojie 111 of Rukpokwu said they had prayed for this for a long time, stressing that the Governor had done the people of Rukpokwu a great honour by fulfilling their dream.

“By this upgrade of our traditional stool, His Excellency has shown that he loves our people, and we will forever treasure you in our hearts,” Bishop Wokpo said.

Eze Wokpo who is also the Chairman, Rukpokwu Council of Traditional Rulers as well as that of Apara Kingdom and the Five Arms described Eze Collins Chukwuma Ogwu, Ogwu 111 the occupant of the stool as a cool-headed, loving, caring leader whose reign had been of immense benefits to his subjects.

According to him, Eze Ogwu 111 consults the elders, chiefs, opinion leaders, various CDC chairmen and youth as well as women leaders of the clan before taking vital decisions, and this he said, has endeared him to the people.

Eze Bishop Wokpo said the upgrade to second class has added new responsibilities to His Highness’ shoulders and prayed God to give him the wisdom to shoulder the enormous responsibilities.

He told Journalists that as Chairman Rukpokwu Council of Traditional Rulers, he would make sure that the chiefs support His Highness, while calling on the people to continue to support his reign for peace and development of Rukpokwu.

“Since he ascended the throne, Rukpokwu has witnessed a reign of peace,” he asserted.
