According to Dr. Inengisa Somiari, Minister of the gospel, author and veteran sports journalist reputed to have founded the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) in Rivers State, his late wife, affectionately called ‘Charity’ by many, was a pillar of strength for those who came in contact with her, tirelessly working to uplift their lives.
“I married my wife, Mrs. Deborah (Charity) Somiari in August 1994. She was an inspiration to me, because she understood me very well and as such helped me to achieve so much in life.
Sadly, she had partial stroke in 2020, and in less than six months was miraculously healed.
“Her healing was surprising even to doctors at UPTH. According to Rivers United FC Team Doctor, Dr. Chuks Agi, who is a senior consultant, “This is nothing but the finger of God”.
“My late wife, who is from Tombia, became a living testimony and encouragement to many until her glorious exit on 22nd November, 2022. She is survived by my humble self and a miracle youngster, David Obakam (God is mighty) Somiari. She was aged 57 years”.
