The Commissioner of a police Rivers State, CP Nwonyi Emeka Polycarp has ordered an investigation into the abduction of a Port Harcourt based journalist Mrs Priestba Anthony Nwokocha.
Priestba, a director of news at the Rivers State Broadcasting Corporation (RSBC), was abducted along the Slaughter/YKC road, Port Harcourt, on Friday July 21 on her way back from work.
The command’s Public relations officer, DSP Grace Irengi-Koko in a statement made available to journalists, revealed that the state commissioner of police, CP Nwonyi Polycarp has ordered an investigation into the abduction to ensure the victim is released “the CP has mandated tactical teams to ensure she regains her freedom and reunite with her family members” the statement read.
