Christians Admonished To Make Hay While Sun Shine
…As ‘Mama Gee’ Is Laid To Rest
Christians have been admonished to make hay while the sun shines, as they could be shocked to face the “hard truth” at the end of their sojourn on earth.
Delivering the sermon at the commendation service in honour of late Nneoha Josephine Mgbore Kalu, mother of Joe Kalu of National Network Newspaper who was laid to rest penultimate Saturday at her husband’s compound at Abuma Ututu, Arochukwu Local Government Area of Abia State, the resident pastor of the Watchman Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement, Pastor Francis Akachukwu said the hard truth is that one could be rejected at the heaven’s gate at the last day inspite of one’s religious activities on earth.
The man of God therefore urged the mourners and Christians in general to double their efforts and do the right thing according to the bible which he noted, will ultimately qualify them to be admitted into the kingdom of God at last.
According to him, “It would be disappointing after one’s labour and religious activities in the church here on earth, the person would be disqualified on the last day and refused admission into the kingdom of God.
He therefore urged Christians to rededicate themselves to the ordinance of God with a view to gain admission into the kingdom of God.
Thereafter the congregation of mourners prayed for the entire family members for the fortitude to bear the loss as well as the repose of the soul of the departed.
The large family members who all adorn white lace materials led the undertakers and other mourners for the interment. Reception and other funeral rites followed immediately.
