Ekpeye Nation Crowns Eze Ekpeye Logbo III

History was once again recorded in Ekpeye Ethnic nation on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, as they trooped out in their large numbers and crowned HM Anugwo Kelvin Ngozi as their Eze Ekpeye Logbo III.

Speaking at the coronation ceremony, the monarch assured his people that he will do everything humanly possible to take the kingdom to the next stage of development by striving to ensure there is peace and unity in the area.

According to him, he will ensure that companies operating in his kingdom lived up to expectations and promised to work in synergy with the government and other security agencies to maintain peace and order.

He sued for the support of all to enable him succeed and urged the youths to shun crimes.

Eze Logbo III thanked the people of Ekpeye and the governor of Rivers State, Chief (Barr.) Nyesom Wike for making it possible for the people of Ekpeye to have him as their Eze Ekpeye Logbo III.

HM Eze (Hon) Cassidy O. W. Ikegbidi (JP), Eze Igbo Akoh II and Natural Ruler of Akor Kingdom described the King as a good man that will take Ekpeye to greater heights and urged him to behave well, respect the customs and traditions of Ekpeye Kingdom.

Dr. Patricia Ogbonnaya, the Ada Ekpeye Logbo II of Ekpeye ethnic nation said the mammoth crowd at the coronation ceremony was a clear indication that Ekpeye is united and urged the monarch to always listen to God so as to lead his people on the path of God because nobody gives authority except God.

Chief Dr. Vincent Destiny advised the King to rule Ekpeye Kingdom with all honesty and also to ensure he carried everybody along in the scheme of things.

He thanked God for the peaceful coronation after those turbulent times and called on all to embrace the administration of Eze Ekpeye Logbo III and support him to attract development to the kingdom.

Chief Ugo Enekwechi advised the monarch to ensure that the traditional institution in Ekpeye land functioned properly because they are expected to bring peace and harmony to their kingdoms as usual.

He asked the king to give an urgent attention the issue of light in Ahoada by meeting with the relevant authorities to ensure that Ahoada enjoy light like their neighbours in Ogba and prayed God to give him more strength, courage, knowledge and understanding to rule his people.

The younger sister to the King, Mrs. Victoria Woke Lucky said she was elated to see a member of their family being crowned as the King of Ekpeye Kingdom, stressing it is really the work of God.

Shading tears of joy, she said looking at where they were coming from, her elder brother has made the family of late Okpara Millis Anugwo proud and urged him to serve his people with the fear of God and ensure that truth prevails in every situation.
