…As New Management Team, Governing Board Takes Over
The Sole Administrator of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Mr. Effiong Okon Awa has been relieved of his post.
A statement from the Director of Press of NDDC, Patricia Deworitshe said Awa’s sack was approved by President Mohammadu Buhari who also directed that the former NDDC boss should quit his duty post with effect from Thursday, October 20, 2022.
The statement read: “President Buhari has also approved the constitution of a new Management Team and Governing Board of the NDDC in line with section 5(2) of the NDDC Act, 2000, adding that the names of the nominees for the new Management Team and Governing Board are to be transmitted to the National Assembly for approval.
Recall that the sacked NDDC Sole Administrator of the Commission was appointed interim administrator for the duration of the Forensic Audit into the operations of the NDDCA, which has now been concluded.
