Justice Wike Lauds MDI On Humanitarian Gesture

The wife of Rivers State Governor, Justice Suzzette Eberechi Wike, has lauded Minds Development Initiative of Nigeria for assisting the less privileged in the society.

Justice Wike made the commendation during the 12th annual thanksgiving celebration of the non-governmental organization, Minds Development Initiative of Nigeria held in Port Harcourt.

The wife of the Governor, who was represented by Mrs. Ene Akawo, urged members of the group to continue the good work, stressing that God will bless them and enjoined other non-governmental organizations to emulate Minds Development Initiative by being truthful and serious.

Speaking also, the Chairman of the occasion, High Chief Doctor Ombo Harry, said Minds Development Initiative of Nigeria is the kind of non-governmental organization that every well-meaning individuals in the State should join because they touch lives and make it meaningful.

According to him, the organization has focus and demonstrated love for mankind by giving free medical, free Education, free vocational training and also support orphanage, as well as the Elderly in the nation.

Earlier, the National President of the organization, Doctor (Mrs.) Constance Wegwu Oliver Amadi, said Minds Development Initiative is a non-governmental organization structured from various ethnic groups in Nigeria, irrespective of tribes, social affiliation, and religion.

She disclosed that the vision of the organization was to nurture and retain integrity, knowledge and develop minds to proffer sustainable solution towards physical, emotional and social challenge.  

According to her, the organization’s aim is to promote peace, love and unity among the youths around the world and partner with other organizations and individuals with similar interest.

Doctor Oliver Amadi, who is also the Director General of the organization, hinted on the achievement of the organization, explaining that funding for the project and activities of Minds Development Initiative were carried out through personal contribution from members, stressing that the organization also accepts donations from individuals, corporate bodies and philanthropic organization in and outside Nigeria.
