The Eternal Sacred Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim Churches said it is among the Bible believing churches by virtue of its doctrine, practices and membership of the Bible Society of Nigeria (BSN).
Supervising Apostle (Engr.) Godwin Nwagwu stated this over the weekend as Guest Preacher in course of the annual celebration of the Bible Society of Nigeria and thanksgiving of Mother-In-Isreal, Mercy Onwubiko and family at Diobu District, headquarter, Port Harcourt.
According to him, “Jesus is king over our lives and to have salvation, one must study the bible. Through studying the bible, we get and quote the relevant areas that guarantee our safety and assurance of our inheritance in Christ.
Quoting profusely from the bible, the man of God stated that for those who are in Christ Jesus, they are now new creatures and not those in churches, emphasizing that the Holy Bible contain every guide for Christians faithful to survive this sinful world and inherit the kingdom of God thereafter.
On thanksgiving, S/Apostle Nwagwu explained that it entails thanking God for His benevolence on us and as well giving out something in appreciation.
However, he made it clear that before the thanksgiving is considered acceptable unto God, the thankgiver should be able to ensure that he/she reconciles with his/her enemies.
The celebrant, Sister Mercy Onwubiko used the opportunity to enumerate all what God has done for her including the protection of the lives of members of her family who she said have been experiencing the problem of premature deaths for sometime, which she noted led her into the annual covenant with her maker.
“God has been very faithful to us since then and there is nothing too big to appreciate Him with, that is why I give Him my all”, she enthused.
Family members, friends and well-wishers from far and near came together at No 9 Akokwa venue to felicitate with them.
