Ogoni Ministers Pay Solidarity Visit To CAN Leadership
Ministers of God from Ogoni axis of Rivers State under the aegis of Ogoni Ministers Peace Advocacy Forum (OMPAF) have paid a solidarity and congratulatory visit to the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Rivers State chapter in Port Harcourt.
Speaking during the event held at the CAN State Secretariat, GRA Phase III, Port Harcourt, the leader of the group, Pastor Friday Alaks of the Deeper Life Bible Ministry, said they were overwhelmed by the honour done the Dr. Stanley Dimkpa-led CAN Executives by the National Network Newspaper recently in recognition of his leadership quality.
According to him, “we are excited and overwhelmed by the honour bestowed on our chairman, it was indeed a well-deserved award and so we have deemed it necessary to identify with and congratulate him for the feat achieved”.
The forum also appreciated the Dimkpa led-executives for its concerted effort in unifying all the churches in the state with a view to speak with one voice and achieve set goal.
They informed that the CAN leadership in their area is weak due to leadership crisis and pleaded that the state should come to their rescue.
“We need to be restructured, strengthened, energized and repositioned if the association in Ogoni area must move forward” they declared.
Most Special Apostle Dimkpa in his response thanked the delegation for the visit and promised not to disappoint the Christian body. He however urge the group to take it upon themselves to ensure that all the churches in the four Ogoni speaking local government areas are united and revived to the glory of God.
