Why Man Dressed As Woman Invaded Varsity Female Hostel

Reason has begun to emerge why a man in his mid twenties who was caught and allegedly stripped naked by students of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education dressed as a woman and entered a female hostel in the institution on last Monday night.

We learnt that the male intruder who disguised as a female is not a student of the institution.

A source told our reporter that he came to plead with a female student who seized his handset when she visited him in his residence outside the campus.

The female student is said to be his female friend who seized his handset over his failure to fulfill some promises made to her.

The source disclosed that the man decided to disguise as a woman to get in touch with his female friend in the female hostel who has been evading him.

The man was caught and allegedly stripped naked by some students.

Report says the handset seized by the female student is owned by the man’s friend who is threatening to arrest the man.

We further gathered that the identity of the female student has been disclosed to the Chief Security Officer of the institution who rescued the intruder from the mob.

Students who spoke to our reporter explained that the man was caught around the bathroom area in the hostel.

The female students upon identifying him to be a man, raised alarm which attracted other male students.

Recall that after three male students allegedly gang raped a female student in one of the boys hostel in the institution last year October, two of them were arrested while one escaped.

The male students were placed on indefinite suspension by the School Authority.

The University Authority aftermath of the incident placed a ban on inter sex visits in hostels in the institution.

Male students were ban from visiting girls hostel, Female students were also ban from visiting Male hostels in the institution.

The President of Student Union Government (SUG) of the institution Comrade Christian Amadi confirmed the incident while noting that the man is not a student of the institution.

When contacted the Public Relations Officer of the institution, Ngozi Okiridu said the Police is handling the matter.
