Ogu/Bolo Legislative Council Charged On Quality Bye Laws

The Councillors in Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area of Rivers State have been enjoined to always bear in mind the reason for their election and make bye laws that will address the needs of the people.

King Nicholas Dickson Ibiebele Nimenibo, Amayanabo of Ogu kingdom made the charge when the members of the Ogu/Bolo Legislative Council visited him in his Palace Tuesday.

According to the traditional ruler, it is only through quality bye-laws and edicts that peace and development will be sustained in the area and prosperity guaranteed among the indigenes.

Obliging the councillors the royal blessings for a successful outing, King Ibiebele Nimenibo, Loko IX remarked the need for them and the local government authorities to be conscious of, and comply with the local government edict regarding the position of the traditional rulers and always carry them along in the scheme of things.

Earlier, the Leader of the Ogu/Bolo Legislative Assembly, Joackin Tamunoyemiari had told the royal father that they were in his palace to express their appreciation for all his support and encouragement before, during and after their election.

He assured the traditional ruler of the co-operation of the Legislative Assembly with all the relevant authorities for the development of the area and welfare of the people.
