Comrade Adams Bags Media Merit Award
The Palace Secretary of Eliozu Community in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State, Prince Comrade Clinton Adams, has bagged the 2018 Media Merit Award for his philanthropic and Humanitarian Services.
Presenting the Award over the weekend in the presence of a mammoth crowd at Ozu Gardens in Port Harcourt, Coordinator of the Forum, Comrade Joseph Nwankwo, said the choice of Comrade Adams was arrived at after a thorough balloting and nomination, going by his patriotic and humanitarian contributions to the society.
Earlier, the chairman of the occasion, Hon. Bright Anokuru, in his opening remarks, said the choice of Comrade Adams is very apt going by his love for community services and the hunger to improve the welfare of his fellow beings even with his mega resources.
“Prince Comrade Adams I know is ready to share his last meal to even a hungry stranger. I came to know him when I was in trouble and looking for an assistance and today we are the best of friends because he did not only help me in providing solution to the challenges but continued to support me with useful advise thereafter”.
In his response, the celebrant confessed that he was overwhelmed by the recognition, adding that he never knew that the reaward of his services will come this soon and through this channel.
Comrade Adams ascribed this and other of his achievements to the Almighty God, dedicating the award to his four children.
Those present at the event included his three beautiful wives, Mrs. Hope Adams, Mrs. Peace Adams, Mrs. Choice Adams and his younger brother, Mr. Glory Ejekwu and wife Joy Ozioma Ejekwu.
In their separate goodwill messages, they described the celebrant as an amiable gentleman, who derives joy in rendering services to humanity.
“This award confirms that whatever one is doing, somebody somewhere is watching his/her action”, Glory said.
Comrade Adams, who is the Sole Administrator of the Gardens, also used the opportunity to introduce the features of the Gardens to include the Bar, Event Centre, restaurant and the “Mature Minds Arena”, announcing that after the successful test-running of the centre, the community is set to commission it by December 2018.
Among the dignitaries who witnessed the event were Mr. Innocent Ugwu, Mr. Sam Weli (Amb. of peace), Engr. Boniface Orlu, Chief Rockxon Obi and Engr. Ben.
