The Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) leaders and stakeholders of Ward 4 in Bakana have commended the Chief Whip of Degema legislative assembly and councilor of the ward Hon. Lucky Ogidi Fred for his outstanding performance in just one year in office.
Speaking at a stakeholders meeting convened by the councillor on Monday, the leader and elder of the ward, Sir, Tom Sogules and Hon. Mpaka Botoye, in their separate speeches expressed satisfaction with the leadership style of Hon. Lucky Ogidi Fred, noting that he had laid a precedence for future councillors in the ward to follow.
They particularly commended him for the resuscitation of the failed water project in the ward, payment of stipends to the aged and less privileged, payment of fees for students’ among other things.
In his reaction, Hon. Ogidi Fred, expressed appreciation to the leaders and stakeholders of the ward for their overwhelming support to him during and after the election, stressing that he would continue to do his best to improve the welfare of the people of the ward.
He said that he ventured into politics so that he could effect a change and raise the bar for excellence in service and effective representation.
The stakeholders engagement was attended by Sir Tom Sogules, Hon. Mpaka Botoye, Hon. Ipalibo Youngman, Hon. Ngo BobManuel, Hon. Helen Benson and Sherry Braide.
