You Work In Power When You Improve Relationship With God
Christians have been challenged to take advantage of the ever available divine power of God, leading to triumph over the power of the enemy.
This was part of the message from the pulpit, Sunday as the Minister-in-Charge of Rhema Chapel International Churches Port-Harcourt, Pastor Abiola Ajadi delivered a sermon titled ‘Working in His Power, in tandem with the Ministry’s word for the year 2020.
He encapsulated his message in the assertion that God remains the Almighty having power over all. But Pastor Abiola Ajadi noted that, despite all power residing in God, He remains magnanimous to share His power with man based on relationship with Him.
According to Him, power is released for a purpose and turns Christians into winners in every sphere of life. He explained that when God gives or shares His power with man, He does so for specific assignment to be carried out on his behalf.
While explaining why many believers don’t work in power, he said when power is made available, children of God need to know how to activate it. He enumerated reasons for many not being able to work in power to include, sin, and ignorance
.His words: You cannot be in sin and expect his power. Don’t listen to preachers of grace who will say grace covers your sins. Similarly, he said that ignorance, which he likened to darkness , deprives believers from expressing the power of God, backing his position with Hosea 4;16.
He concluded by stating that, to experience and express God ‘s power, there are personalities to know which include God himself (study his word to know him), the devil (knowing him in order to understand his strategies) so that he wouldn’t take advantage of you. “You also need to know yourself, else you will believe whatever people tell you about yourself, you need to know others so that you will not commit yourself to them and get disappointed. Commit yourself to God only”.
