I Get My Songs In Dreams – Nelly Praize

…As ‘WWG’ Hits Airwaves

Rising gospel singer, Nelly Praize has revealed the source from which she gets her songs.  The gospel diva who spoke to National Network in Port Harcourt recently, said she derives both lyrics and instrumentations of many of her songs through dreams.

Nelly explained that God gifted her songs through dreams, as reward for the unflinching faith and trust she puts in Him.

“First and foremost, I want to thank God for the blessing of sound sleep.  It happens that when I sleep, I sleep deep. And when brings the songs, an angel would appear to me and gives me a song.  I would wake up shortly and write down the lyrics. Even the instrumentation, I would be humming it and return to sleep”, she said.

She said the scenario would look so real as if it’s a live event.  According to her, “I would in the dream, find myself singing a song with my musical group in the studio.  We would be working on the song just like we normally do.  So, when I wake up, I would know that God had done it again, and I would then pen down everything”.

Nelly who began her music career, singing in the choir, said she would keep rehearsing the song until she gets the melody, adding that her latest single, ‘WWG’ (Wonder Working God) is another of such, a product of God’s grace upon her through dreams.

“WWW is a song that mirrors God’s supremacy, his unsearchable powers and the mighty and miraculous works he does in our lives every day.  The song is premised on the scripture, Psalm 77:14 which proclaims the Almighty as a Wonder”, she said.

The Abia State-born singer added that WWW is set to bless the entirety of mankind who would position themselves to the wonders of His power.

The elated artist revealed that this move of God’s power is already happening following the volume of testimonies that streams through her social media handles, and expressed delight that God is moving her from glory to glory.

She also disclosed that a new song known as ‘Heart of Love’, is on the final stage of production and would soon hit the market.

Nelly who also revealed that she opted for gospel songs, because of the innate peace she enjoys doing it.  She added, happily, that she was influenced by her father who although did very well in secular songs, instilled on them the values of Christian living.

“Only gospel songs give me peace and fulfillment”, she declared while recalling an ugly experience she got doing secular songs.

“I went for audition and decided to do Whitney Houston’s ‘I will always love you’.  I was half way into the song and I just forgot everything! I messed up and that was when I decided there and then to call it quits with secular music.  To God’s glory, I am doing fine”, she said.
