Police Rescue Suspected Homosexual From Mob Action

A man simply identified as Stephen would have been lynched by an angry mob Thursday, September 30, but for the timely intervention of the Police. Mr. Stephen was allegedly caught in a public toilet making love to a fellow man at Mile 3 Motor park.

In an interview with journalists, the attendant of the public toilet, Vitalis Andrew disclosed that the said Stephen and his partner who escaped initially paid him money to make use of different toilets.

Mr Andrew disclosed that another man who was making use of another convenience  heard moaning like that of a man having sex and climbed the wall that demarcated the two toilet rooms and allegedly saw Stephen having sex with his follow man.

Mr Andrew stated that when the man raised alarm, Stephen and his partner ran away but Stephen was later apprehended by traders and others doing business in the park.

The pubic toilet attendant revealed that he called the manager of the public toilet on phone who rushed down to the scene.

Mr Chamberline Dappa, the manager of the Public toilet in the park told Journalists that he quickly called the Police who responded promptly and rescued the suspected homosexual from mob action.

Mr Dappa explained that he went with the Police to the station and has made statement and the Police are asked for a witness who saw Mr Stephen having Sex with his fellow man.

When contacted, the spokesperson for Rivers State Police, SP Nnamdi Omoni told our reporter he will get in touch with the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of the Division and get back to him but he was yet to do so as at press time.
