Chief Akaninwo Hails Gov Wike Over His Electoral Victory

…Says He’s Always A Victor

One of the respected chiefs in Rivers State, Chief Enyinda Kingsley Akaninwo, Eze Oluwocha V of RumuAkaninwo Community in Rumueme Kingdom, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State has congratulated the state governor, Chief Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike for his electoral victory for a second term in office in the just concluded general election.

Speaking with newsmen in his palace over the weekend, the traditional ruler stated that Governor Wike has been a winner all through his life.

“Since his days as a teenager, Wike has been a winner and also since he ventured into politics right from his days in the council, he has been associated with winning, excellence and perfection in anything he does”.

Chief Akaninwo used the opportunity to urge Rivers people and residents to support the administration to consolidate on its achievements.

On the area he would want Wike to give priority attention, the monarch said the governor is naturally an intelligent person who knows what is good for his people.

He however advised that the governor should beam more light on creating jobs for the teeming unemployed youths, adding that when the youths are preoccupied with something, most of the crimes will be minimized if not eradicated.

On whether the traditional rulers have benefitted in the Wike administration, Chief Akaninwo said there is room for improvement as the government and the traditional rulers have to work in synergy to move the state forward.

He however used the opportunity to appeal to the state governor to set the process in motion to ensure that the vacant traditional stool of RumuAkaninwo people in Orazi Community occupied by their late Paramount Ruler, Eze Edmond O. I. Akaninwo is filled as according to him, “for us since his demise over three years ago, there is nobody to speak for us.

On security matters, Chief Akaninwo commended Governor Wike in his effort over the menace and appealed to all and sundry especially the traditional rulers and Community Development Committee (CDC) chairmen to close ranks in confronting the challenges.

He however made it clear that Oroazi Community is very peaceful especially with the police patrolling the area every other night.
