Eid- El-kabir: Pray For Peace, Eze (Ogba) Urges Nigerians

The Oba (Eze-Ogba) of Ogbaland of Ogbaland His Eminence, Oba Nwachuku Obuoha Nnam-Obi III has appealed to all Nigerians irrespective of religion, status, gender or political affiliations to ceaselessly pray to almighty God for the peace and unity of the country.

He also called on the Governments at all levels and the security agencies to be sincere and holistic in its fight against security Challenges by been proactive and improve on its intelligent gatherings.

The Ogba monarch in his goodwill message to the Muslims on the occasion of this year of Eid-el-kabir celebrations described as unfortunate and worrisome the rising rate of insecurity in Nigeria such as terrorism, herdsmen attack kidnapping and other violent crimes and begged those destroying the country to have a re-think and be of good conduct as ill wind blows no good than harm.

He admonished politicians to guard against their uttrancies and be civil by avoiding fowl languages or inciting the youths during their political activities/ campaigns as politics is not a do or die affairs

Oba Nwachuku Nnam Obi III whose message was signed by his media officer, Prince Charles Amadike-Otoboh, JP, (Mmbohkrikri) Congratulated Muslims Ummah as they celebrate this year’s annual Eid-el-kabir festival and urged them to reflect on the life and times of prophet Ibrahim who was known for his love, Peace and Unity Preachings.

Receiving Muslim faithfuls in his palace the Ogba Monarch thanked them for paying him Sallah homage and assured them of their safety in his domain but urged them to be of good behaviors by obeying the customs and culture of Ogba People and should call their members (herdsmen) to order to avoid destroying peoples farm and crops.

Earlier, the leader of the delegation, Alhaji Usman had told the Oba of Ogbaland that they were in the Palace to pay him Sallah homage which they started since the reign of his father and thanked him for giving all religion a level playing ground to operate in the area and assured him of their good conduct.
