Eminent Rivers Ministers Network Embarks On Special Prayers For Peaceful General Election

A Faith Based Organization (FBO) under the aegis of Eminent Rivers Ministers Network (ERMN), Rivers State Chapter has embarked on a special intercessory prayers for a peaceful electoral process that will mid-wife the next administration in Nigeria.

In a chat with newsmen over the weekend in Port Harcourt during the event, the coordinator of the group, Bishop Godswill Erefa Dick Jumbo (POI) said the prayer has become necessary for God to intervene in the Nigeria’s affairs because of the importance of the 2023 general election in Nigeria.

According to him “This election is actually going to make or mar the country and so needs God’s intervention to see us through”.

Bishop Jumbo who is also the international coordinator of End-time Prophetic Network stated that indeed there would be surprises at the elections because the electorates are now wiser as a result of the hardship they have passed through.

“I salute and console the Nigerian people for what they have suffered in the last seven (7) years as a result of bad governance that have led to insecurity, hunger and agitations which threatens the country,” he stated.

The man of God however, urged Nigerians to trust and hope in God for a brighter tomorrow, adding that this time around God is set to do a new thing for Nigeria. “God will raise leaders for us and not rulers again,” he said. 

The group particularly commiserate with the families who have lost their loved ones during this bad administration in Nigeria, assuring that there is a silver lining at the horizon.

Bishop Jumbo used the opportunity to thank all the faithful and trustworthy members of the group for their persistent fasting and prayers for the state and nation in general, assuring them that in a short while they will start reaping the fruit of their labours.

He also used the chance to urge everybody to ensure that they register, obtain their Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) and vote in credible candidates who will bring the needed positive change in the country.

The group equally used the opportunity to congratulate all the political leaders across board who had the courage to aspire for the political positions in their primaries which they said include the Rivers State governor, Chief Barr Nyesom Ezenwo Wike and his predecessor, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Romiti Amaechi, adding that the two prominent sons have indeed made the south/south region proud through the outings.

“Their performance at the primary elections of their different parties is encouraging and actually made statement,” he said.

The group equally congratulated all others who emerged as their parties gubernatorial candidates including Arch Dele Cole of the APC, Comrade Beatrice Itubo of the Labour Party, Chief Lulu-Briggs of the Accord Party and Amaopu Senibo Sim Fubara of the PDP.

They also included the Deputy Governor, Dr (Mrs) Ipalibo Harry Banigo for the senate and Odi Odum, the newly appointed Minister for state on Environment.

The group urged those who have emerged candidates of their various positions to work hard and actualize their dreams and be part of the team to rescue Nigeria.

The highlights of the event were the praise and worships and intercessory prayers for the political stability of the state and country as well as its financial prosperity and fast tracked economic recovery.
