… As Nation’s Finest Choirs Thrill Audience
Director-General of the Rivers State PDP Campaign Council, Bro. Felix Obuah with his family and friends gathered at the Church of God (Seventh Day), Family Worship Centre, No. 3 Victor Ihunwo Street, Eagle Island, Port Harcourt early Friday, December 16, 2022 where they poured out a heart of thanksgiving to God to mark his birthday.
Even as no formal celebration was planned to commemorate the event for this year, the Mbanabaragu 1 of Orashi Region was the center of attraction as his wife, children and close friends took him unawares to host a low key celebration.
Bro. Obuah who is the immediate past State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as well as former Sole Administrator of the Rivers State Waste Management Agency (RIWAMA) was early on Friday awakened by a beautiful rendition of worship songs which was spiced with Happy Birthday Daddy.
Shortly, the songs were accompanied by trumpeting, reminiscing of angels ascending and descending from heaven! As the Mbanabara Agu 1 of Orashi Kingdom moved to his opulent parlour and joined the party, comprising his wife, children and friends, the crowd grew, before moving to the Family Worship Center, just across the road.
In his testimony, an elated Bro. Obuah said he lacked words to express how much appreciation he owes to God for His saving grace, recalling that God had on countless occasion showed his unfailing love and mercies.
“For me, each morning I wake up, I see it as a birthday because if not for God I shouldn’t be alive today. His mercies are beyond comprehension”, he declared.
Bro. Obuah, who is also the Ikemba Idemili and Paramount Ruler of Go-Round Community (World-Wide), vowed that as long as he lives, he will continue to put smiles on the faces of people.
“There is nothing that I own that is not given to me by God. I will remain eternally grateful to Him. I will never relent in His praise and worship. I will continue to win souls for Christ”, he said.
The Rivers State PDP Campaign DG also pledged continued service to God and humanity all through his life, adding, “I cannot quantify God’s blessings with material things. I don’t have the resources to even pay for the air I breadth, not to talk of His protection and peace on daily basis”.
Messages of goodwill were given by a handful of friends present at the Church Service, praising God for the life of Bro. Obuah whose philanthropic gestures to the less privilege cut across the State.
As a lover of gospel songs, the service featured great moments of praise and worship with some of Nigeria’s finest choirs in attendance. The array of sensational gospel groups which graced the event include the Family Worship Center Choir (Eagle Voices), Life Song Classical Choir of Gateway International Church, Heavenly Singers and the African Voices from Enugu State.
The packed Family Worship Center shook to its foundation as the celebrant and entire worshippers were thrilled to impressive dance performance first by the Heartbeat Dance Crew of Gateway International Church and complemented by the Kingdom Feature Kids.
It was a moment to relish as the celebrant, Bro. Obuah, joined by his wife and children took to the stage. He was his usual self displaying his dance steps, as the crowd cheered him on.
As birthday gifts poured in for Bro. Obuah, an elated guest announced a gift of N5million. Bro. Obuah who received the gift with a heart of gratitude, prayed God to bless and replenish the source from which the giver received it, a hundred fold. He however, handed the money to the church as an offering of sacrifice unto God.
