Royal Father Highlights Significance Of Easter
With the aura of Easter still in the air, HRM, Nye Udu Felix Enene Otuwarikpo has called on Christians to see the resurrection of Jesus Christ as a significant event that brought light and life into this world.
The Monarch urged Christians to avail themselves of the opportunity to share in the mission of the Jesus Christ by continuing to emulate the virtues of compassion, humility, sacrifice and love as exhibited by Jesus Christ.
He said Christians should see this period of Easter as a time that presents them the viable opportunity to think about how they can help to steer the society back on the path of peace, stability and prosperity.
We should imbibe the spirit of togetherness because no tribe can make any meaningful progress in an atmosphere riddled with pockets of gossip, hate, violence and killings,” he said.
The Royal Father maintained that the Easter celebration was a declaration of the transforming power of Christ overcoming darkness and bringing hope to Upata kingdom, despite the difficulties and trials, light has begun to shine in Upata kingdom with noticeable improvement in infrastructure, human capital development and good governance.
“May our people realize that the transforming power of the Risen Jesus, is filled with His light and see it necessary for us to be a light unto our generation to the glory of God our Father.
May the resurrected Lord grant our people, with our beloved ones a joyous life filled with the gift of Him, who is risen from the dead”, he prayed.
