Come Friday, July 7, 2023 all roads will lead to the Federal College of Education (Technical) Omoku for the 2023 Matriculation Ceremony.
A statement by the Public Relations Officer of the College, Prince Charles Amadike-Otoboh JP, the matriculation ceremony is for fresh students of the college in affiliation with the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) and University of Uyo (UNIUYO) for the 2022/2023 academic year.
He said the ceremony which will mark official induction of the fresh students, also promises to be a grand affair, filled with pomp, tradition, and an air of celebration.
Part of the statement read: “On behalf of the Registrar, Dr. Godpower Obi Ahiakwo, the Joint Matriculation Ceremony which will kick start exactly at 10am at the College Convocation Arena (Campus) 1 will be jointly presided over by the Provost, Dr. Emmanuel Ikenyiri, Ksc, and the Vice Chancellors of University of Nigeria (UNN) and University of Uyo (UNIUYO), Professor Charles Igwe and Professor Nyaude Ndaeyo respectively”.
It added that the matriculation ceremony is for the UNN and UNIUYO Degrees, Year One Regular and Part time, NCE as well as Professional Diploma in Education (PDE) new students.
As part of activities marking the ceremony, there will be school, departmental and combined orientation programmes as well as novelty football match for all the fresh students beginning from Monday, July 3, 2023 to July 6, 2023, and enjoined parents, guardians and friends of the College to attend the ceremony.
