Herbal Remedy For Treatment Of HIV/AIDS Clocks 23 Years
HA19 a herbal product formulated by a renowned trado-medicine practitioner, Professor Ekpe Effiong Peter for the treatment and cure of HIV/AIDS has clocked 23 years.
To celebrate the 23 anniversary of the herbal remedy, Professor Ekpe organized a thanksgiving service at his INRI Prayer Ministry in Aleto Eleme on Sunday July 3 where he spoke glowingly about the product which he said had given remedy to people infected with HIV/AIDS.
According to the well known Alchemist, when the scourge of HIV/AIDS was ravaging the world around 1983, he went into research and the result was the HA19 herbal remedy.
He disclosed that 19 different herbal roots were used in preparing HA19, stressing that it had proved very effective in the treatment and cure of HIV/AIDS.
Professor Ekpe who is also the Bishop in charge of INRI Prayer Ministry said he faced a lot of challenges in the production and marketing of HA19 including attempts by some people to steal the product and label it theirs.
He told National Network that when HA19 came out some people said AIDS could not be cured, even as he was barred from advertising the product at Enugu during an international trade fair he attended in 2000. He said they did not want him to tell the world that he had HIV/AIDS medicine.
Despite these obstacles, Prof. Ekpe said he was able to sell his herbal remedy at the Enugu, Tafawa Belewa square and Port Harcourt during international trade fairs, stressing that HIV/AIDS patients who bought the medicine received cures.
He said some of them were still alive till today, adding that those who were not married got married and bore children. He disclosed that some of those who received cure had come to his Inapow Clinic to thank him for saving their lives.
According to him, this had spurred him to continue to have confidence in his HA19 remedy.
Professor Ekpe disclosed that he had treated over 20 HIV/AIDS patients this year alone, but regretted the politics by the authorities concerned in certifying his product.
Dr. Sofori Peterside, a Professor of Sociology at the University of Port Harcourt who introduced Ekpe’s herbal remedies to friends in California, USA affirmed that HA19 was well packaged and effective as a herbal remedy.
He deplored the politics being played by the certifying authorities in giving certification to HA19 and encouraged Professor Ekpe to press on with certification.
High point of the anniversary was the display of the product at the venue of the ceremony.
