Medical Students Pledge Support For ONELGA Chairman
Students from Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area in the Rivers State College of Health Management Technology say they will follow the steps of Hon. Vincent Job in his political journey towards next year’s Local Government elections.
Led by Mr. Samuel Uzoma Ewoh, the group expressed appreciation to the Chairman for effecting the purchase of entry forms for as many as 85 students.
According to him, the students’ support is predicated on the Chairman’s magnanimity and uncommon humility in addition to his antecedents.
The leader, however appealed for financial assistance to enable them scale through some of their statutory financial commitment in the school.
Responding, Chairman, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area, Hon. Vincent Job thanked them for their show of love and commitment to his course of running for a second term and assured them of his administration’s support.
He expressed zero-tolerance for illiteracy and called on parents to ensure proper upbringing of their children through education.
The Chairman, however regretted the insinuations of parents of most beneficiaries that the Council had agreed to undertake total training of the students and cautioned against such rumours and beliefs, pointing out that the Council only agreed to purchase entry forms and not outright training.
The Chairman made a donation of N500,000 to the students.
