Obuah Congratulates Victor Obuzor On Electoral Victory

…Hails Peaceful Conduct Of Polls In ONELGA

The Director-General of the PDP Campaign Council, Bro. Felix Obuah has congratulated Mr. Victor Chukwumela Obuzor on his victory in last Saturday National Assembly election to represent ONELGA/Ahoada West in the House of Representatives.

Obuzor won with total votes of 17562 while the APC scored 10,606, followed by the LP with 10,231 and SDP with 3028 votes.

The Collation/Returning officer, Associate Professor, Alwell Nteegal announced him winner of the election shortly after a collation that stretched till 2:3am Monday morning.

Bro Felix Obuah said he is impressed with the turnout of electorate during the elections in ONELGA.

The Mba Anabara Agu of Orashi Kingdom said he was particularlyhappy because according to him, majority of the voters, despite being Sabatharians whose faith do not permit secular activities on Saturdays, still came out in their numbers to vote for the PDP candidate.

“The people have woken up and decided to play a different game. I’m impressed and happy for a peaceful and free and fair election. I pray they maintain the peaceful co-existence even in the forth coming elections”, he said.

In his acceptance speech, Victor Obuzor described the elections as peaceful, free and fair, and promised to represent the constituency without compromise.

Also on her part, Deputy Governorship candidate of the PDP, Professor Ngozi Ordu shortly after casting her vote in Ward 8, Unit 11 Akabuka ONELGA commended the people for coming out to exercise their franchise.

Professor Ngozi Ordu while speaking to journalists also commended the elderly men and women who came out early to wait for material to arrive to cast their votes.

“I’m happy to see an organized crowd here eager to cast their votes. I am also happy to see my elderly parents out and eager to vote. They should maintain this peaceful disposition always”, she said.
