State CID Detain Officers Accused Of Killing PH Based Artiste

Police Officers accused of complicity in the death of a 22 year Port Harcourt based artiste Chibuike Daniel aka  sleek have been detained at the State Criminal Investigation Department(SCID) ,we have learned.

The spokesperson of Rivers State Police Command Nnamdi Omoni, a Superintendent of Police(SP) in his reaction to the incident disclosed that the officers involved are men of anti-kidnapping unit on a distress call and a Mopol Police officer attached to a supermarket in the area.

SP Omoni revealed that the officers are not men of Special Anti-Robbery Squad(SARS) as speculated.

Meanwhile the elder sister to the deceased, Maureen expressed shock at the attitude of the Police who allegedly allowed his brother to bleed to death after shooting him even when they knew he did not commit any offence.

National Network had gathered that the Anti-kidnapping officers were chasing the late Chibuike allegedly shooting ‘thief o thief o’ when a Mobile Police officer attached to a supermarket in the area at Elelewon in Obi/Akpor Local Government of Rivers State shot him at the back.

Our source revealed that one of the officers put him in a tricycle and drove him round while his friend Rebeuen who was also arrested was pleading with them to take him to the hospital the officer declined.

The source disclosed that the deceased was later dropped at Elelewon Police station and he was inturn deposited in an undisclosed mortuary.

National Network also learned that no incriminating substance was found on the deceased as at the time he was reportedly shot by the Police officer.
