The Management of the Rivers State University has expressed it’s readiness to partner with the Nigerian Army in sourcing local content for its operations.
The Vice Chancellor of Rivers State University, Prof. Blessing Chimezie Didia gave the assurance while receiving a research team from Army headquarters, Abuja, in his office today.
The University Don who spoke on the rich research base of the University, said the programme would cement relationship between the Army and the University.
Earlier , the leader of the delegation and Head Of Transformation and Innovation, Army Headquarters, Major Gen. Felix Agugo, said the University has been chosen by the Nigerian Army as a research center for sourcing of local materials for the production of military hardware.
Major General Felix Agugo, said the team was satisfied with the growth of the University as the foremost Science and technology Institution in the Country.
He described Prof. Blessing chimezie Didia as a vibrant Vice Chancellor whose administrative acumen has helped repositioned the State owned University as one of the best Universities in the Country.
