Education Commissioner Tasks Christians On Love

As we reflect on the life, death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ especially with the dreaded Corona virus ravaging the whole world, the Rivers State Commissioner For Education, Prof. Kaniye S. A. Ebeku, has admonished Christians to always be habingers of love.

Speaking on the significance of the Easter celebration by Christians, Prof Kaniye said it is pertinent to reflect on the price Jesus Christ paid on the Cross of Calvary for the sins of mankind so that man may be free from the penalties of sins.

Quoting from the Holy Scripture John 3:16 where God demonstrated His love for mankind, by giving His only begotten son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins he reminded Christians that God is love and urged them to imbibe the spirit of Love, as Christ loves the Church.

Prof. Kaniye who commended Governor Nyesom Wike for thoroughly implementing the restrictions he announced for the containment of the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) disease in Rivers State, praised his palliative measures as people-oriented and prayed for the health and growth of Rivers State and its people.

He charged religious leaders to pray to God for the total healing of the world, especially the land of Rivers State, from the dreaded Coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) currently ravaging the world. He asserted that God will hear from Heaven and heal the land, and no one will share His Glory with Him.
