Entertainment: Maestro Vic Returns With New Hit, Andinwam

Port Harcourt based Afro-centric R&B gospel artist, Maestro Vic has returned to the music scene with the release of a new single titled ‘Andinwam’, accompanied with an official music video, after years of quietude from the music scene.

Andinwam, which dropped on the 10th of January, 2022 came five years after the release of his debut single ‘Nobody Else’, and is already gaining massive air play and online streams.

Maestro Vic, in a statement assured his fans that the release of Andinwam, marked the beginning of more hits to come.

The singer noted that Andinwam, an Efik/Ibibio word for ‘My Helper’, is a mid-tempo afro soul centric dance hall, with rich, powerful vocals laced with a beautiful blend of percussion and other music instruments recorded live.

He added that the song was inspired by the Holy Spirit to aid believers all over the world, build an intimate relationship with God, to praise and worship Him better.

Maestro Vic said his choice of his mother tongue Efik/Ibibio, Nigerian Pidgin and English languages all fused in the song, were only attempts to express an in-depth gratitude to God for His numerous benefits, deliverance and sustenance through the turbulent years of his life and ministry.

The Singer, known by real name Victor Effiong, is a multi-talented award-winning broadcast journalist currently working with a radio station in Port Harcourt.

He also majors as a voice over artist, news editor, correspondent, presenter, music producer, voice coach, music director and more.

Effiong also revealed that he recently suffered a setback few days to the release of Andinwam, as he was robbed of his two mobile phones, other personal belongings and an undisclosed sum of money stolen from his bank account after it was hacked by presumed criminals.

He however noted that he remained grateful to God for sparing his life, while expressing confidence that God was All Sufficient to restore everything he had lost.
