Rivers PDP Chairman, Bro Obuah Gives Kudos To Gov Wike, Citizens, Contingent Over Successful NAFEST Rivers 2018

The successful hosting of the 2018 version of the National Festival of Arts and Culture, code-named NAFEST Rivers 2018 by the Rivers State government and the superlative performance of the State contingent have once more proved the prophets of doom and alarmists that Rivers State is peaceful, safe and remains number one business destination for investors and tourists in Nigeria.

Bro Felix Obuah, Rivers State chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) made the declaration in a statement to commend the organizers of the NAFEST Rivers 2018 for a job wonderfully done.

The State PDP boss specially commended Governor Nyesom Wike for his ingenuity and power of mobilization which according to him, accounted for the unequalled success recorded in this year’s all Nigeria Arts and Culture Festival.

Applauding His Excellency for the laudable rare feat in the history of hosting such a multi-ethnic event in the State, the State PDP chairman noted that Nigerians and other nationals who trooped into the State for the week-long event had confirmed for themselves the true security situation in the State and the hospitality potentials of the Rivers people contrary to the prejudices induced by political detractors before the commencement of the event.

Bro Obuah said more interesting was that the cultural fiesta was coming barely two weeks after yet another successful and crowd pulling PDP Special National Convention for the selection of its presidential candidate which record according to him will remain unbeaten for a very long time in Nigeria.

Recalling other landmark events that had taken place in the Garden City of Port Harcourt only this year, including the National Convention of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) and other high profile workshops and seminars, the State PDP boss declared that the State had never had it so good and attributed the milestone to the foresight and popular appeal of Governor Wike as a detribalized Nigerian and agent of true change from the old order.

Bro Obuah was also thumbs-up for the Rivers contingents for coming out tops in the overall result of the competition, stressing that their victory was not unexpected in the light of their doggedness, commitment and maximum support from the sports loving administration of Gov Wike.

Also given a pat on the back are the entire Rivers people for their understanding, support and peaceful conduct throughout the period of the cultural festival.

All these, the State PDP chairman said, were the fruits of good governance and focused PDP-led government in the State which according to him, is ready to sacrifice anything to ensure that Rivers State occupies a pride of place among her counterparts across the country and beyond.

Bro Obuah appealed to the Rivers people to continue to keep faith with the PDP and reciprocate the good works of Gov Wike to the State by queuing behind him in the 2019 general elections for the good work to continue.
