Two Suspected Student Cultists In Police Net

…As Cult Groups Resurface In RSU

Two suspected cultists believed to be students of the Rivers State University, Nkpolu Oroworukwo, Port Harcourt are in Police net following the shooting that rocked the university Community Saturday, July 6.

Information at our disposal has it that suspected cult gangs invaded the venue of the cultural day of the institution reportedly, the Vikings and Klux klans (kk) cult groups.

The incident which left the students scampering for safety was the first of its kind since the inception of the current administration headed by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Blessing Didia.

The suspected cultists however, had luck ran out on them when police officers from the Azikiwe Divisional Police Office got wind of the attack and went after the hoodlums which later paid off with the arrest of two of the suspects at the compound in Ekwulobia street, Mile 3, Diobu where they ran to take refuge.

Among things recovered from them, include a short gun.

When contacted, the State Police Command’s spokesman, Nnamdi Omoni confirmed the arrest.

Recall that the Vice Chancellor of the Rivers State University, Prof Blessing Didia had earlier stated during an official function that one of the landmark achievements of his administration was the elimination of cultism from the university.
