Fubara Urges Supporters Not To Be Intimidated

It was another tsunami as Khana Local Government area was on Saturday 30th July, 2022 fully activated and charged  when thousands of residents of the area turned out at State School one Bori , headquarters of the Local Government Area to participate in the GDI organised PVC Sensitization rally.

The rally which could be described as the mother of all rallies since the sensitization exercise began saw the complete shut down of the city of Bori for Sim Fubara who incidentally

Is from the Rivers South East Senatorial district, which has its headquarters in Bori.

The roll call of personalities at what was christened the mega rally was endless.

Notable new faces that appeared at the event include former Khana local government council chairman and former Commissioner, Local Government Service Commission, Hon Greg Nwidam, former president, National Yputh Council of Nigeria, Marvin Yobana and former Super Eagles captain, Joseph Yobo.

Senator Barry Mpighi, Representing Rivers South East Senatorial district,  House of Representatives member from the area, Dum Deekor, Council Chairmen, members of the State House assembly, other political heavy weights from within and outside the area, PDP Deputy Chairman, Hon Chukwuemeka Aaron, The State Secretary, Dr Benibo George and party Exco were equally present.

The event which witnessed ward by ward display by GDI members from across the 19 wards in the Local Government area and other youth, women and students groups came to a head with Solidarity speeches.

Speaking at the event, Chairman of Inter party Advisory council, IPAC, Ambassador Desmond Akawor who doubles as PDP Chairman in the state said his was there to observe how.

GDI was going about the PVC Sensitization programme.

Ambassador Akawor expressed delight with what he saw describing it as astonishing, overwhelming and unprecedented.

“I am not surprised, this is the headquarters of the Senatorial district of the Governorship candidate. The Governorship candidate comes from Rivers South East Senatorial district. See human beings if you throw sand it would not fall to the ground. Every body has come out. All the men and women”.

He likened the crowd at the venue of the event to that of a senatorial rally and commended GDI for the excellent job.

The Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Amaopusenibo Siminialayi Fubara said mere looking at the crowd, one can conveniently say that “matter don finish”, stressing that he doesn’t need to say anything because Khana is already simplified .

He gave kudos to GDI and the Council Chairman for doing a great job .

As usual, Siminialayi Fubara told those who have not registered to use the available time to register while those who have already done so should go and collect their PVCs and ensure that they are secured.

The PDP Standard bearer expressed gratitude to the elderly men and women who were patient enough to stay till the end of the programme, enjoining the youths to have the believe that the same God that did it for him would also do it for them.

He also assured the people of Khana that he won’t forget them in the scheme of things and charged them not to be intimidated by whatever they see or hear.
