Eid-el-Kabir: Obuah Rejoices With Muslims In Rivers

…Urges More Prayers For Gov. Wike And State

…Seeks Greater Collaboration For  Cleaner Environment

The Sole Administrator of the Rivers State Waste Management Agency (RIWAMA), Bro. Felix Obuah has felicitated with Muslim faithful in the State and urged them to continue to pray for the peace and progress of the State.

Bro. Obuah in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Jerry Needam, said a strict adherence to the teaching of Islam in the areas of love, brotherliness, tolerance and peaceful coexistence will greatly assist Governor Nyesom Wike to achieve the developmental agenda of the State.

He said Muslims and the entire people in the State had every reason to be thankful to God in the celebration of this year’s Ed-el-Kabir because of God’s abundant goodness and mercies to the State.

Bro. Obuah said a deep reflection of the past months shows that God has been tremendously good to Rivers people through the instrumentality of the amiable Governor of the State, Chief (Barr) Nyesom Ezenwo Wike.

While stressing that Muslims in the State have a role to play in the implementation of government policies and programmes, Bro. Obuah assured that the Wike administration was very passionate in giving the dividends of democracy to all residents in the State.

The RIWAMA Boss urged Muslims living and doing business in the State to take the cleanliness of their residences, mosques and business places as a cardinal objective, as he emphasized that cleanliness is next to godliness.

Bro. Obuah frowned at the attitude of the Muslim Community around the Slaughter, Woji Town, Eleme, Onne, Oil Mill, Rumuokwuta, Gambia and other areas in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital and its environs who have continued to leave their mosques and its environs unkempt; and called for change of attitude as that would be a way of contributing their own quota towards restoring Port Harcourt to its Garden City status as well as complement the service delivery efforts of RIWAMA.

The RIWAMA boss also charged those who are into the business of cart pushing and other members of the Muslim Community in the State to obey the dumping hours of 6 p.m. to 12 midnight, and dump their refuse at only government approved receptacles.
