4 Males, 3 Females Terrorizing Ahoada-West LGA Meet Waterloo

It was end of the road for three females and four males suspected to be kidnappers terrorizing commuters and passengers at Mbiama, Isiayi, Agbo, Akiogbologbo communities in Ahoada West Local Government Area of Rivers State for over two months as they were arrested by the Joint Task Force (JTF), comprising the Military, Police and State Security Service operatives, National Network can confirm.

A native of the community, Joseph Opia in a telephone interview with our reporter said the community leaders and JTF acting on credible intelligence stormed the hideout of one of the gang members in Ahoada West LGA and arrested him.

Mr. Opia disclosed that the member of the gang who was first arrested took JTF to the hideout of  other members of the gang in Bayelsa State and parts of Ahoada West where others were arrested.

We also learned that some of the suspects had been identified by their victims.

Community sources informed our reporter that JTF reportedly recovered large amount of arms and ammunition when the suspected kidnappers led the security operatives to their armoury located in a thick forest within the Local Government Area .

The Paramount ruler of Akiogbologbo community, HRH, Laime Abraham confirmed the arrest of the suspects in a telephone chat with our reporter.

It would be recalled that four worshipers were kidnapped in the area while going for a night vigil. And several persons have been reported kidnapped in the area by gunmen in recent times.
