Hon. Adonye Kelly Diri, Former Assembly Member To Be Laid To Rest In Opobo, Saturday
The body of late Hon. Adonye Kelly Diri, a former member of the Rivers State House of Assembly, will be laid to rest in his hometown, Kalaibiama Town in Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Area of the state, on Saturday, October 14, 2023.
A funeral programme released by the deceased’s family and made available to the media last weekend showed that the service of songs to honor the distinguished lawmaker, held at Christ Church, Forces Avenue in Port Harcourt on Tuesday (yesterday).
Hon. Adonye Kelly Diri, passed away on August 19, 2023, after a protracted illness, leaving behind a legacy of public service and dedication to his constituents.
The late former lawmaker, who once served as Caretaker Committee Chairman of Opobo Nkoro Local Government Council, also in his lifetime, achieved tremendous success in his private business.
In a fitting tribute to his illustrious career, his body will be moved to the Rivers State House of Assembly on Friday, October 13, 2023, for a valedictory session. The ceremony will be attended by fellow lawmakers, dignitaries, and members of the public who wish to pay their respects to the late former lawmaker and successful businessman.
