Pst. Ekiye Celebrates Tenure As CAN Youth Chairman

… Launches Book “Growing Your Business Into Financial Prosperity”

The General Overseer (G.O) of the Agape Love Community Church (a.k.a Winners House) situated at Rumuokwachi Community in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State, Pastor (Amb) Ekiye C. Ekiye, over the weekend in Port-Harcourt organized a special Thanksgiving Service to God for a successful tenure as State Chairman, Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN) and Obio/Akpo LG CAN Chairman.

The event was also used for the launching of a book titled “Growing Your Business into financial prosperity” written by the celebrant. In his sermon, the CAN Youth National President, Apostle Andy Nyenmie eulogized the celebrant’s doggedness and visionary leadership, adding that for one to succeed in life, he/she needs a Barnabas (a helper) to support him. “There must be a helper to lift one from the pit or one to encourage the other for him to succeed.”

The man of God admonished Christians especially to support each other in life in the Spirit of God as it is not possible for one to succeed as a lone ranger. He used the opportunity to congratulate Pst. Ekiye for single handedly progressing to where he is today through sheer determination to succeed and urged people to support him to enable him realize his ambition.

In his contribution, the Rivers State CAN Chairman, Most Special Apostle Stanley Dimkpa said he was happy to associate with Pastor Ekiye C. Ekiye whom he described as a trustworthy person with the fear of God. He hailed the former Youth Chairman for his industriousness and pledged to support him in anywhere possible.

Speaking to newsmen, the Celebrant thanked all the invited guests that graced the event especially the Rivers State House of Assembly Deputy Speaker, Hon. Edison Ehie for all their support and encouragement in producing the book. On the book, Ekiye said he was motivated in writing the book because many people said it is difficult to start a business because of the challenges involved and particularly in growing up the business. He said that with his experience and inspiration from God, he packaged the book to make it easy for would-be entrepreneurs. Pst. Ekiye disclosed that not everyone who are in business are there for profit making but for some other ulterior motives; but that if one’s interest is genuine, the book would be of assistance to him/her.

In his position as the Youth CAN Chairman as well as the Obio/Akpor L.G.A Chairman, he said not much was expected from him in terms of infrastructural achievement as he did not occupy a political office with budget allocation but relied on God’s will, wisdom and creativity to make a difference on the seat. “With the support of my family members, friends and well-wishers, some were achieved in the office.”

He used the opportunity to thank the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) for giving him the chance and privileges to serve in that capacity and promised to make himself available for any endeavour in the future.
