King Nnee Coronated As New Gbenemene Tua Tua Tai

The people of Tai kingdom in Tai Local Government Area of Rivers State has installed HM. King Samuel L A Nnee as the new Gbenemene Tua Tua Tai.

Addressing the media shortly after the coronation, the Rivers State Commissioner for Chieftaincy and Community Affairs, Hon. Charles Amadi who was represented by the head of department of litigation, Aunty Dimkpa charged the new King to maintain peace and protect the cultural values of his kingdom.

She admonished the newly Coronated King to remain steadfast in discharging the expectations of his people and urged the people of Tai to give the new King the maximum support and cooperation to enable him discharge his duties diligently.

Dimkpa commended the people of Tai for always maintaining the needed peace in their various communities.

“We thank the people of Tai who thought it wise to invite the ministry, we thank you for the peaceful conduct if the election that brought the King into power. We now ask you to take today’s occasion as a very important one because history has been made. We encourage you to support the King. They say it takes two to tangle, so the ministry is encouraging the people of Tai to give full support, respect and everything that will enable him succeed”, she pleaded.

The Paramount Ruler of Koroma Tai Community, Sir Chief Sunday Nsane said the installation of the new King was unanimous and a collective decision of the chiefs, elders, men, women and youths of Tai Kingdom.

He enjoined King Nnee to use his successful ascension to the throne to reach out to all without any form of discrimination and seek advice where necessary to enable him succeed in his rulership.

Responding, the new Gbenemene Tua Tua Tai promised to use his new position as a call to deepening service to his people and promised to be as a in drawing government’s attention to the needs of his people.

King Nnee thanked Governor Nyesom Wike, Hon. Friday Okpe and others whom he says God has used to perfect His signature in his life, “I feel so elated that God’s signature in my life is blooming. God is the beginning and the end, He designs and executes my life and this is the manifestation of His program in my life. I am promising my people peace because as a traditional ruler, the main content is peace and that is what I’m assuring my people of Tai. Tai will continue to enjoy peace just as my father, King G. N. K. Gininwa did,” he assured.
