Khana Council Chairman Defends Judicious Use Of Council’s Resources

The Executive chairman of Khana LGA, Dr. Thomas Bariere has declared that his administration has utilized resources allocated to the council judiciously for the good of the people.

He made this declaration yesterday when he led members of the Khana 9th Legislative Assembly on a tour to inspect some projects initiated and completed within his 100days in office.

The Khana council boss reiterated his commitment to ensuring that his administration continues to work for the good people of Khana.

Leader of the 9th Legislative Assembly, Barr. Gobari Albright Deebom expressed his satisfaction for the remarkable achievements of the council boss describing the projects executed as people oriented.

He stressed that khana people had experienced infrastructural decay for some time now, but with the massive projects already executed by the Executive Chairman that gap has been bridged.

Furthermore, the Leader supported resolution by the Executive arm to name the newly constructed primary school after the Executive Governor of Rivers State, Chief Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike stating that upon receiving a bill to that effect the house deliberated and gave it all necessary Legislative backing.

Hon. Neeka Nyobah, the Councillor representing ward 18 and Chief Whip of the house speaking after the inspection of the Nyesom Ezenwo Wike Model Primary School, Nyowii Baen applauded the Executive Chairman for siting this laudable project in his ward. Stressing that the project has addressed the educational challenges of his people.

Hon. Engr Kpae James Dumale James Dumale, the councilor representing ward 1, expressed his gratitude to the Executive Chairman for initiating the construction of a state of the art ICT centre in Bori stressing its importance to khana people.

The Lawmaker further explained that with the fleet of projects already executed, the executive chairman has demostrated that he has the people at heart,  he commended the Chairman for judiciously utilising the resources of Khana people for the their betterment.

Hon. Clinton Lekiana Agbuzi , The Councillor representing ward 5 on his part lauded the Executive Chairman for constructing an ICT center in the heart of Ogoni land stating that the project will not only be beneficial to his constituent but the entire Khana at large.

Hon. Robinson Nule Nordee, The councilor representing ward 08 speaking while inspecting the newly reconstructed Kaani road and drainage commended the Executive Chairman for executing the laudable project stating that the project has addressed the yearning of his people considering the fact that his people ply that road on daily basis.

The lawmaker described the Executive Chairman as the Liberator of Khana people.

Hon. Emmanuel Barisi Mercy, The Councillor representing ward 17, commended the Khana council boss for undertaking the reconstruction of the Kaani road project emphasising that the Executive Chairman has come to change the narrative of governance in Khana LGA.

Hon. Meesua Daniel Ikah, the councilor representing ward 02, while inspecting the newly constructed Khana council new entrance gate applauded the Chairman for giving a facelift to the council secretariat.

He stressed that the project has not only beautified the secretariat but has also improved the security of the council.

Hon. Prince Barisua Ipia, The Councillor representing ward 13 and chairman house committee on works applauded the Executive Chairman for all the laudable projects he has executed and completed within his 100days in office, stating that the projects seen today has justified the electoral mandate given to this administration by Khana people.

The house Committee chairman prayed the people of Khana to take advantage of these notable projects especially youths of Khana.

Hon. Nwazim Barikui Clever councilor representing ward 7, while addressing newsmen lauded the Executive Chairman for the massive projects he has executed so far, he stressed that these feat has shown that the exective chairman is sensitive to the yearning of Khana people.

Hon Clever, futher stated that Dr. Thomas has set the bar high in terms of leadership for governments after him to emulate.

Hon. Harrison Barida, the councilor representing ward 11, while speaking explained that he was a product of the the industrial training unit and it a thing of joy seeing that the school has been brought back.
