The Rivers State Police operatives, through credible intelligence, have arrested one Mrs Godslove Olakada ‘from Agbonchia Eleme last week Saturday, at about 8:30pm for pouring hot water on her husband, one Mr Olakada Ejire.
The Spokesperson for the Rivers State Police Command, SP Grace Iringe Koko disclosed that the victim was rushed to Famo Hospital at Aleto Eleme for treatment where is still receiving treatment.
SP Koko said the cause was domestic family issues even as investigation has commenced to get to the root of the matter.
The incident comes less than one week after the Police in Rivers arrested a woman known as Favour Nwokoro for pouring hot oil on her husband Elelediri Muokoro.
Confirming the incident, SP Koko said Mrs Favour resident of Lion street, Igwurita, Ikwerre LGA was arrested last week Friday at about 8:00am for bathing her husband with groundnut oil.
In the meantime the case has been transferred to State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID), Port Harcourt.
