Cedarwood Garden Estate Elects New Executives

Residents of Cedar Wood Garden Estate, Off SARS road, Port Harcourt, Rivers State on Tuesday morning, November 19,2024 elected new executives to pilot the affairs of the estate for the next three years.

Engr. Joseph Iwuanyanwu, Chairman elect, in an interview with Journalists, commended the past executives for doing their best. He disclosed that they tried their best but there were some lapses.

Mr Iwuanyanwu said “some lapses were however noticed, which I felt need to be changed.

Some men of goodwill called me to contest that they need somebody to fill in the gaps noticed. I had to accept the call to contest.

“I Thank God for the victory. It is not victory for Joseph alone, is victory for the estate . It’s a call for selfless service.

“I will give my best in serving my people and ensure everybody is happy. I will bring in Government presence to the estate and ensure peace and unity”.

In his welcome address, the Secretary of Board of Trustees of the Estate, Ifediora Uzuoma said “Today we have conducted the election and this has come to stay.

“My charge to the new executives is for them to hit the ground running and ensure reconciliation committee is set up to bring all aggrieved parties together and to form oneness in the estate”.

Earlier, the Chairman of the electoral committe Gbenga Oladapo Esq stated that the election was devoid of violence.

He said “we just conducted Cedarwood Garden Estate election.

The election was successful, free and fair .It was devoid of any acrimony.

There was no violence. It went the way a normal and democratic election should go.

 “The election is meant to bring in executives of the estate that will pilot the affairs of the estate for the next three years”.

Those elected are Engr Joseph Iwuanyanwu as Chairman, Mr Peter George Ndaokani as Vice Chairman, Mr Xavier Ogaranya as Secretary, Engr Kelechi Onuoha as Financial Secretary, Mr Alex Orazuruome as Asst Secretary, Amarachi Chima Chizoba as Welfare Officer, Chisom Nwama as   PRO, Duru Chima Chigozie as Provost 1,Ogundu Edwin Eze as Provost 2.

Highlights of the event was issuance of certificates of return to the elected executives. Our correspondent reports that the Police, representative of Rumuaholu community, Chief Benson Njiowhor, the press witnessed the election.
