Rivers Police Intensify Effort To Apprehend Killers Of Inspector

The Rivers State Police Command says it has intensified effort to apprehend the killers of a Police Inspector attached to operations department, Bayelsa state who was on escort duty when he was shot dead last Friday at D-line axis of Port Harcourt.

The spokesperson for the Rivers State Police Command, SP Grace Iringe Koko disclosed that at about 8:30pm last week Friday information was received that a male Inspector attached to Department of Operations Yenegoa, Bayelsa State Police Command was fatally shot on the head while escorting his Principal  around Landmark hotel at Oroworukwo, Olu Obasanjo Port Harcourt. His rifle and berret was carted away.

SP Koko said patrol teams were immediately mobilized to the scene effort is ongoing to arrest the fleeing hoodlums and recover the rifle corpse deposited at military hospital Port Harcourt for autopsy  while investigation is ongoing.
