Ibibo Predicts Better Fruitful Season For Nkoro Kingdom

A prominent traditional ruler in Nkoro Kingdom in Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Area in Rivers State, Chief Rogers Ibibo, Oroni De, III Owuarafari, has called on the good people of Nkoro Kingdom to remain steadfast in prayer, believing the year 2021 will be better in all ramifications than the outgone 2020.

Ibibo who stated this in his new year goodwill message while speaking with newsmen in Port Harcourt noted that it was not a contestable fact that the year 2020 was not only very rough but hectic, following the outbreak of Coronavirus pandemic that held the whole world spell bound but however, expressed gratitude to God for keeping us alive to witness the 2021 with high hope of a better things to come.

He also prayed that some individuals should turn a new leaf in their conduct by putting a stop in writing negative and unfounded comments that will not only tarnish the image of their brothers and sisters but portray the reputation and fame of Nkoro Kingdom in bad light before the outside world.

“I think it’s high time we should embrace the idea of supporting and encouraging our leaders, knowing fully well that leadership positions are gifts from God and there is no way everybody would be a leader at same time”, he remarked.

He, nevertheless, seized the opportunity to advise the good people of Nkoro Kingdom to continue to remain resolute in their positive ideas of doing meaningful things instead of indulging in criminal acts capable of ruining their future.

The respected traditional ruler in Nkoro Kingdom further stressed the need for everybody to adhere strictly to the second wave of COVID-19 protocols by washing our hands with soap under running water regularly, maintain physical social distance and the use of face masks in public places.

Ibibo who is noted for his straight talk and peaceful disposition at all times equally took time to congratulate the good people of Opobo Kingdom for her successful 150 years celebration of existence as well as remembering the good relationship between the King KpoKpo and King Jaja of Opobo dated back 1869, praying that such a cordial relationship be sustained.
