As Race For Brick House Begins: I Will Pick APC Candidate From Riverine – Amaechi
As the race for 2023 gubernatorial elections hots up, the All Progressives Congress (APC) leader in Rivers State and Minister for Transportation, Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi, has assured his followers of picking a Governorship candidate from the Riverine axis of the state.
Addressing a crowd of APC members on the need to get registered and revalidate their membership of the party, Rt. Hon. Amaechi disclosed that the candidate can come from Okirika, Ogu/Bolo,Opobo or Kalabari, promising that the most important thing is to find a candidate from the Riverine.
He asked them to go and prepare for elections especially as the case at the supreme Court is over, stressing the need to sensitize everyone in all the wards and local Government Areas in the Riverine parts of the state.
“The fight at the Supreme Court was never with another party, it was like a brother fighting a sister and now that it is over, go and prepare for the elections.
Let’s forge ahead to produce a Riverine candidate for our party, come together as a team we want to give you a chance to run and win, we will do our own in the upland, Amaechi urged.
He further assured them of picking commissioners from Riverine if the APC wins in the gubernatorial race in 2023 even as they already have an ambassador from their midst.
He said the party will assess the strength of each ward by the number of registered members stressing that the party will deal with only registered members in preparation for the election.
