Eleme LGA Chairman Condoles With Uniport & Family of Late Joy Adoki Over Brutal Murder

The Executive Chairman of Eleme Local Government, Hon. Barr Philip Okparaji says his attention has been drawn to news making the round that corpses of three Uniport students, kidnapped sometime in April were found in a forest in Eteo.

The chairman frowned at any calculated attempt by criminal elements from neighbouring LGAs to make Eleme forests the dumping ground for their criminal games, hence bringing to disrepute the tireless efforts of the council in concert with security agencies in the area which has battled crime to lowest tide in Eleme Local Government Area.

Okparaji warned neigbouring LGAs not to take advantage of Eleme boundary communities by dropping corpses in their forests as he promised to do his best to justify the confidence and trust reposed in him by the people and cannot fold hands and allow criminal elements disturb the peace around Eleme.

The Chairman assured residents of the area that all necessary measures have been put in place to prevent further occurrence of such evil act as the relative peace in the area cannot be compromised for anything.

The Executive Chairman also expressed sorrow and grief over the untimely death of Miss Joy Adoki in the hands of her abductors who had brutally murdered her and others.

While hailing the Security agents for nabbing the perpetrators of the crime, the Chairman condoled with Uniport management, the student community and the family of Joy Adoki and warned youths in the area to stay away from crime, cultism and eschew vices.

Urging the youths to invest their time, resources and energy into productive ventures, he stressed that security agents are poised to come hard on all criminal elements within the area.

He advised Young people to always remain safety concoius and make prompt report of suspicious activities and persons to security agents or relevant authorities.

Making it loud and clear to Criminal minds to stay clear of Eleme LGA, he stated that the perpetrators of the dastard act are not indigenes of Eleme as it is not in the nature of Eleme people to condole or participate in such inhumanity and criminality.

Barr. Philip added that nothing is prioritized over the security of Eleme people, calling on stakeholders and residents to join forces with the government and security agents in flushing out criminals by reporting and providing useful information of suspected criminals within their area maintaining that Eleme LGA is safe for everyone and business to thrive.
