Bribery Allegation: Chief Okah Makes Case For Ikwerre Supreme Council Of Chiefs

Factional Chairman of Elele Clan Council of Chiefs, Eze Okechukwu Okah says Chief Mike Elechi was economical with the truth when he said some Elele Chiefs gave N4m bribe to the Supreme Council of Ikwerre Government Recognised Traditional Rulers led by His Royal Majesty, Eze Chike Worlu Wodo JP, Eze Oha Apara to secure favourable resolution of Elele Council of Chiefs crisis.

Eze Okah alleged that Chief Elechi made the assertion while speaking during the commissioning of the repainted Elele Roundabout in Elele recently.

Speaking to newsmen in Port Harcourt, Eze Okechukwu Okah said Chief Elechi deliberately smeared the good image of the Eze Apara and the Supreme Council in order to forment more trouble and prolong the settlement of the crisis which has rocked the Elele Council of Chiefs since 2018.

He further said it is wrong and embarrassing for Chief Elechi to talk down and disrespect the Eze Apara stool when there is no superiority contest between Elele Stool and Apara stool as the only offence Eze Apara and the Supreme Council of Ikwerre Govt Recognized Traditional Rulers committed against Chief Elechi is that they invited the erring son of the Elele King and other factional chiefs in order to settle a quarrel between brothers in the Elele Council.
