PROVIL Schools’ Principal Quits Bachelorhood

The principal of one of the popular schools in Port Harcourt, Rivers State – The PROVIL Schools; situated at Ozuoba/Nta road, Mr. Okeke Isreal Kalu during the Easter holidays took his heartthrob, Miss Okoro Chisom Bethel to the altar.

The event which attracted many dignitaries took place at the Ancient Path Restoration Revival Assembly Church, Amagu-Mpu in Aninri Local Government Area of Enugu State.

Delivering his sermon at the church service, the presiding Pastor Nathanial Nwankwo admonished Christian couples to make friends with God as they embark on lifetime journey called marriage, adding that His promises never fail.

According to him, “With love, trust, honesty and understanding of each other, a successful marriage must be achieved,” he declared. The man of God made clear that if the marriage ordinances as laid down by God Almighty is diligently followed, marriage would be enjoyed rather than endured.

He stated that the man and the woman has a duty to make the marriage institution work through an undiluted love from the man and submissiveness from the woman.

Quoting profusely from the Holy Bible, Pastor Nwankwo made it clear that marriage requires total commitment from both parties to make it work.

In his opening remarks the chairman of the reception Prince Adejones said marriage is a necessary assignment for every adult when the time comes.

He advised that the couples should be allowed to learn from their mistakes without the interference of a third party, not even their own parents.

He pointed out that marriage is the only institution where certificate is issued to the participants before the commencement of the lectures.

Earlier, the chairman, Amaebo family Okpu-Okpanku, Chief Sylvanus Onwuha Okow and Chief Kenneth Oti (Onowu) Okpu Ekoli all in Aninri Local Government Area of Enugu State who presided over the traditional aspect of the marriage ceremony said they were satisfied that the suitor and his people met all the marriage rites meant for the event including the dowry before they gave their nod for the white wedding. They wished the couple a peaceful and fruitful marriage.

In their remarks, the duo made it known that inter-tribal and inter-state marriages like the one being contracted should be encouraged as one of the unifying factors of Nigerian citizens.

It would be recalled that the school principal and groom, Mr Okeke Isreal Kalu hails from Amaeke Ututu in Arochukwu Local Government Area of Abia State while the bride hails from Amaebo Village in Okpu-Okpanku, Aninri Local Government Area of Enugu State.

In their separate interviews, the bride and bridegroom expressed gratitude to God for making their dream come true and promised not to disappoint their parents as they jointly start the new home by the grace of God.
