Wakirike Unity Choir Concert Holds Dec.

The Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of Wakirike Unity Choir concert, Pastor Iyoloma Tomquin, has said that arrangement have been concluded to organize the second edition of the event.

He stated that the concert would feature 1000 choral voices from different denominations within Wakirike kingdom and would perform basically for the purpose of peace and unity in the land. 

This was contained in a statement made available to newsmen on Monday, saying that the Wakirike Unity concert will also feature ‘The Big Sing’ Congressional Hymns, classical songs, Wakirike folks songs and gospel music, amongst others.

According to the statement, the major objective of the event is to foster the existing peace and unity within Wakirike communities.

“The main goal of the concert is to foster unity among all Wakirike communities, that this powerful show of unity will speak where words fail and unite the various religious, political and community factions” he said.

The statement further explained that one of reasons of the event is to bring together the people of Wakirike kingdom to speak in voice.

 “We are optimistic that this event will bring together our clergies, traditional rulers, members of the Executive, Judiciary and Legislative arms of government and everybody in the kingdom.

Honestly, with the support of Wakirike people and the general public we can present the upgraded version of the Kirikeni Okwein App to make it easier for Wakirike people all over the world to learn our language” he stated.

The LOC chairman used the forum to invite the general public to attend the event, especially the immediate neighbours of Okrikans , like the Ikwerres, Ogonis, Elemes, Kalabaris and the Igbanis.
